This will warm your heart. Just when you have lost faith in human
kindness:

This letter was sent to the principal's office after an elementary school had sponsored a luncheon for the elderly.
An old lady had received a new Radio at the lunch as a door prize and was writing to say thank you.
This story is a credit to all human kind.

Dear Faculty and Students:

God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior
citizens' luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at an Assisted Home for
the Aged. All of my family has passed away. I am all alone now and it's
nice to know someone is thinking of me. God bless you for your kindness
to an old forgotten lady. My roommate is 95 and always had her own
radio. Before I received this one, she would never let me listen to
hers, even when she was napping. The other day, her radio fell off the
night stand and broke into a lot of little pieces. It was awful and she
was in tears. She asked if she could listen to mine, and I told her to
kiss my ****. Thank you for that opportunity.

Sincerely,
Agnes

Time to go to bed .................... Have to be up at 0500 for work tomorrow. Work sucks...................... But I am thankful to have a job. (:

My back is killing me this morning. Can't take my Rx for it and work so looks like it's Aleve and coffee for breakfast.

Today marks 5 years that Pat quit smoking! Thru driving long haul, having cancer, getting arrested and being in prison, he has MAYBE smoked a carton total in that timeframe, most of it being while he was in driving school and starting out driving. I am so totally proud of him and he even quit 8 days before his goal of quitting, Feb 21, 2007, which was his 33rd birthday.

DS 2 started potty training today! We got him a toddler potty yesterday, and training undies with the plastic cover-up thing. I'm not all about him running around naked all day and peeing on our carpeting.

DD4 needs to quit being so dramatic. It makes me want to pull my hair out. I'm pretty sure I was NEVER that dramatic, especially at 4. WTH?!?

Sorry Red, Maybe she is just upset because she will have another sibling soon? Another peep to share mom with? And w/DS potty training maybe she feels like she really doesn't have much of your time/attention! I dunno...just trying to give you some food for thought...my DD can be a bit of a drama queen at times but I just TRY NOT to feed into it! Good luck!

Lauri I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. You are such a wonderful person to make his time here as special as you did! Big hugs to you and your family.

I suggested she wear her Valentines Day dress tomorrow to school. It's a red jumper with pink hearts at the bottom. I got new white tights that fit her, and she has "dorothy shoes" - red sparkly ones. So I suggested that outfit last night, and you would think I won the lotto, she was so excited.

She wanted to try on the outfit today, and I said she could, but reminded her that it was for tomorrow. of course then she wanted to stay in it all day. I let her stay in it for a few minutes, then suggested she change into regular clothes. She wanted to change back into her jammies. I told her no, it was time for regular clothes.

She had a meltdown, and a few minutes later came out in her jammies again. So I took away her fave stuffed animal and said, You can have her back after you change into regular clothes. Meltdown #2. "I don't even care about anything else! I just want my jammies on!" I was calm the whole time.
She eventually got dressed and I told her she could have the animal back, it was on the couch. She acted like she was punishing me by not taking it. I told her I didn't care either way...

It doesn't matter, it's all in a 4 year old's world, kwim? SMH I hope this is part of a phase and not what she'll actually be like for the rest of her growing years.

thinking about you missy and wondering how you are doing and has DH stopped the harrassment? Have you had to act upon your restraining order?

keeping you in prayer.
