so what are you thinking right now?

Had a great night with DS! We learned something new and even though we struggled through we got it done without calling anyone for help.
Best part of all was when we were standing there I said "Hey we did it how cool is that" He walked over and gave me a big hug! To a mom of a 13 year old boy that is BIG

I have a job interview tomorrow and I'm very nervous. I haven't been on an interview in many many many years.

I'm kinda surprised at everyone's weird habits and phobias and true fear of germs.

I'd have to say I'm way laid back compared to most of what I'm reading...no I don't wash food in my bathroom sink but it wouldn't gross me out if one of my kids did. No, I don't usually eat in my bathroom but again I'm not disgusted at the thought of eating in my own bathrooms. But I seriously think ppl are overly concerned with germs to the point that you are harming yourself by not getting exposed to some germs. They build your immune system. I (knock on wood) cannot remember the last time I had the flu, a cold, a sore throat.....seriously it's been YEARS! My kids also tend to be on the healthy side with very few sick days.

I keep a clean house but don't live in a sterile cloroxed everyday environment. Seems like an obsession with anything, including germs, is never a good thing. Just my two cents.

although, i do remember a lil lady that had the great sense to want to avoid her sister in laws party due to the fact that they had sick/contagious kids. that is common sense.

Yes Ritachick, I'm ...19 weeks and feeling like crap lol. I'm pretty sure it's a girl but we'll find out next month.

I don't think it's strep, the kids have had colds and I don't know about you guys but mine always start with a sore throat.

And the continuous morning sickness just doesn't help with a sore throat.

Congrats! On the baby, not feeling like ****.

I had NO energy yesterday.

Thought it was a preggo thing.

Today my thraot is on fire. BOO!!!

I'm sorry Red, take care of yourself! Drink some extra OJ and although this may sound silly eat some fresh pineapple...I find it works wonders when a bad cold is coming on! Hope you feel better soon!

Why am I such a procrastinator lately? I have a research paper due tomorrow, and I've barely started it - title page, and a chart done and that's it :surrender:

 The kids had Mulan on while I was cleaning - I walked in at the end when she returns home to her dad and he didn't care about the sword or medallion, he threw them down and hugged her and said something like, "Having you for a daughter is the highest honor," or something to that effect. I lost it. Man I used to be so hard. Now DH has little contests with himself on how long into a program I can make it before crying

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Parenthood. Such a great feel good show :)

That's great Missy!!! :bliss: :cartwheel:

My son has been telling me for a while now that some kids have been picking on him saying he's fat and has man boobs. He said he tells the teacher, but he doesn't do anything. So today after school I talked to the teacher (with my son).
Yup............he gave me every excuse in the book from "Kids will be kids" to "that doesn't sound like so and so" to "a 12 year calling someone fat usually isn't meant personally" :faint:

I said "WHAT?! There's no two ways to take that!" He said for adults yeah, but to kids it's not always mean. Ok pal look at my son standing there crying and tell me again it's not mean!!! :ohreally: :gah: :ranting:

So we get in the car and my son said "See! I told you he doesn't take it seriously!" I said yeah. :surrender::surrender::surrender:

I swear to God if that little ****er doesn't leave my son alone soon, I'll take him aside in the hallway my **** self and tell him what's what!!!

So the teacher is useless... tomorrow you and the principal will be meeting, yes?

 That's FUNNY!!! He's even MORE useless if you can imagine. :surrender: A couple years ago I had issues with my ADHD son's teacher. I sent him email after email. He didn't return one until I had my DH call and leave him a message. He called him right back. :fart: Oh and still he did NOTHING.

The other kid that picks on my son is the Pastor's son..........I prolly won't even bother with that one because the cards will be stacked against me. That place protects their own.

OH HELL NO! I'd be cracking skulls. I had a teacher get pissed at me once because some boy kept bullying my daughter and I told her and she did nothing. So after that I went straight to the parent and nicely asked her to tell her son to leave my daughter alone. I guess she got mad and complained to the teacher because the next day I got a nasty post-it from her explaining I am not 'allowed' to confront the parent and that if I don't like the way she handles things to take it to the principal.
Look, it sounds like you are going to need proof so how about having your son wear a tape recorder so there is not question how these kids are behaving? Also, talk to the parent and tell them their precious isn't being all that Christian and being a bully.

Also, get your dh to talk to the teacher and parent. For some infuriating reason they listen to the husbands better. I have no idea why- I'm way more deadly.
