so what are you thinking right now?

AMEN SISTER! Hey Red, sometime when we're really bored I could drop my DH off by your DH they can play games and we can go out and have some fun! My BILAW is even worse than DH...he and all three of my nephews are going to turn into a box...my 4 yr. old nephew ONLY wants to play video games whenever we see hiim...completely redick!

I couldn't begin to guess the source of that, maybe tv but who knows. She is a VERY bright girl and sometimes it makes things more difficult in raising her - it just seems like she is growing up so dang fast. :(

DH started to get her into video games on the X-Box and I put a stop to that very quickly. DH is a couch potato and my kids are close enough to lazy, they watch too much tv. So now they get these ****ty apps to "bake cupcakes" and Lord knows whatever else garbage games are on there. It doesn't help that half of the games are DH's -he's playing games on there about as much as I'm on here.

Hey at least I get something out of here. What is it with men and video games? They're fun and all but jeez there's more to life than what's in that stupid 52" box in the living room!

Red and a LOT of peeling? Totally normal. Don't exfoliate to speed up the process, it'll make your skin worse and it'll feel more sensitive after that. Give it a few (5 ish?) more days and you'll be LOVING your skin!!! It'll be softer than you can ever ever remember! Where'd ya go for that?

More than just red and peeling, it was lumpy/bumpy/just shy of blistering??...so I talked to the gal that did it (she's a friend from HS) and she recommended using hydrocortisone...one application and it's a ton better. Just showered and put a second application on and it's looking closer to normal now. Way better than last night.

It's my bday today and I have to clean the house since everyone is stopping by from DH's fam tom. to give DD bday gifts...DD was born early on Feb. 22nd so our bdays are only 5 days apart...and I have a blistering headache so really not feeling the cleaning thing! My SILAW will be disgusted however if I leave the house the way it is...mom always taught me that a clean house is a good house so I am anal like that! I think I will take a nap first myself though and then get up and clean!

So thankful that my dad's surgery went well and he is doing great. He had a hernia repaired and this really huge lump removed from his ankle.

It wasn't really risky surgery, but all surgery carries risk and he isn't as young as he used to be. I don't think I could take it if something happened to him so soon after my stepmom.

My DH played a video once on the computer that had a small bit that was inappropriate for my 7 yr old. He still imitates it and it has been months. It doesn't take much esp when they are bright.

My DH has a sizeable video game collection and pretty much every system available. My son loves to play video games. Plays them all the time. But he knows homework comes first and last night he asked if we could leave the lights on for a few minutes so he could finish his book. He went through a must play games all the time phase but it didn't last too long.

Once when the boy was at school and D was smaller, my DH was playing grand theft auto. Went to the kitchen for a soda, came back, D had taken the controller, gotten out the chainsaw in the game and was revving it and cackling as she did it. That was the end of GTA around her. She wants to play games badly because she sees all of us doing it. If we get a Kinect, I would get Once Upon a Monster for her. I think she would love it.

I think a Wii or Kinect would be the only games I would allow my children to play, b/c they're still active. But I'm not spending the money on that, here's a ball and chalk, go outside!

I really hate being cold (and I'm always cold), so I'm pretty lax about taking them outside when it's chilly out, I let them run around in the basement. But I can't WAIT for summer now that we're in a safe place where the kids can actually play and run around outside!! :hiphip:

**** it all to hell!! My chest is really bugging me!! I cannot sit comfortably. Trying to sleep lately has been taking hours as I have to readjust countless times. If this doesn't get better by my follow up appt. I feel like I may just unload on the dr. To any of you who have to consistently deal with pain, hats off. I am a very grumpy gal right now. :surrender:

I'm sorry. :huggy: Have you tried taking anything?

How I wish to hell the laws would change so families could force mentally ill adults into treatment. The current situation sucks right now, it is virtually impossible to make someone get the treatment they need but refuse to seek.:surrender::surrender::surrender::pout::pout::pout:

The girl and I are waiting for the husband to come home with our Tamiflu and cough syrup scripts. At least my cough syrup has codeine in it.

Do you always think about such heavy things ennui? Lighten up babe. :flowers:

But yes I do agree. My mom's friend has a son who has mental issues and refuses to take his meds. He's 27...........I've know him since he was 5. He's making his parent's lives hell. He's a paranoid schizophenic.

I'm sorry if your family is going through some rough times.

There's one issue we totally agree on.

Best of luck to whoever you're trying to get help for. :flowers:

My mil and the husband's grandmother will be here in a couple of hours. I really wish they wouldn't but they insist on staying with us until Monday morning. I have told them we have the flu in the house right now and they STILL want to be here. I hope they realize that we won't be chipper and energetic and they won't be entertained.

Gotta work tonight and when I get there it is ok but I hate leaving the house. I'm not agoraphobic or anything and I don't mind leaving for short bits of time. But I work 12 hours and it sucks. I always think that if I could bring one of the kids or my favorite dog with me it would be great and I would work everyday but I work in a hospital.

with SIX kids?! :faint:

Just have the 3 little ones home, DH took the older three snowboarding, they left at 7am. It's kinda quiet around here. Baby is crabby b/c I took away her swaddle blanket, so she is hanging out on my lap and the little boys are busy playing.
