so what are you thinking right now?

SD18 got a tattoo today - against everyones wishes.
The writing is crooked, sloppy and was done freehand.
When do they learn you get what you pay for - especially when it's permanent? :gah:

I used to come to CW to read the deals, now its obvious that I'm an OT **** when I don't even understand what this whole Dominicks Frozen Food hoopla is about b/c i haven't bothered to read any of those threads.

how far are you from a dominicks? It would probably be worth the road trip:lol:

Heavy, wet snow all night - and it's not supposed to stop until sometime tonight. Add in the power just went out. When I called to report the outage, the automated system tells me estimated restoration of 6:00pm or later tonight. :surrender:

Cookiemom, you can have the snow. I don't want it, not like this....

I too have not jumped on the doms deal--been so busy--and have avoided stores---so not sure what is so hot about it---you have to have the 30 off coupon to get the deals right--it isn't instant---are the coupons on the papers still in stores?
I was just asked by my kids to go to Jewel and get more fries--but today is really busy--maybe I can sneak out later, after the volunteering at schools--and the Chicago Bears event--where my little guy will get a signed football-this time from Johnny Knox--last time was Major Wright--that is if my car holds out and can get me there

I'm about 15 minutes from a Dom's. I see that there are some good deals to be had but I'm not sure it's anything I "NEED" to stock up on. Trying really hard to avoid processed foods and bad for you stuff. Plus, it's Dom's...UGH, I hate the Fox Lake Dom's, it's always a pain. So unless something I need comes up being really hot, I guess I'll just stay out of the loop.

Had freshman orientation last night for DS. Excited and sad at the same time. He is growing up so quickly. We learned about his classes and he is so excited about picking his options!

Wanting to go to Dominick's....but cant ....my son who has a cast on his arm is home from school with an ankle injury! Never ending crap! Trying to figure out how I am going to get him to the doc...can't walk and cant use crutches cause of his arm

:gah: now I might not get power back on until 11pm :gah:

So much to do, but I can't do much without power. I can't go anywhere either, can't even get out of the driveway right now.

Glad I charged my cell phone yesterday, at least that will help with the feeling of being totally cut off from the world.

That sux! It's so frustrating when the power goes out.

Wondering if DD4 1/2 is finally ready to phase out nap time. She seems like she needs it b/c when she doesn't nap, she's very crabby for a good portion of the evening.

But she fights nap time so much now, and maybe twice a week won't sleep at all, and gets out of bed a lot at bed time.

So maybe we'll try no naps for a few days and see what happens.

Boo. :(

My oldest told me before he was 3 years old "naptime is over mommy. I not napping no more". He wasn't kidding. I know if that child lays down for a nap, he is ill. He also would get up by 6 am every single day and rarely fell asleep before 1030 pm. He is now 13 and has not changed. I tried putting him to bed at a regular bedtime of 8 pm... he would sit in there and talk to himself and occasionally announce I am not sleeping mom... you hear me? No sleeping going on in this bed giggle giggle giggle. It was such a game for him.

My youngest, he would still nap to this day if he was home. he is 11. And no issue of him going to bed by 9 every night.

Talk about 2 completely different kids... i have them!

My kids are total opposites sleep wise too. My 12 yo loves to sleep. I can't get my 9 yo to bed before at least 10:30. :surrender: His ped keeps lecturing me about how he needs more sleep to grow, etc. WTH can I do? If he's not tired, he's not tired. :9: And yes I've tried everything.

Glad I'm not the only one skipping it. Ever since the whole expired food thing I just can't bring myself to shop there. Especially for frozen stuff.

I figured maybe she's not active enough during these winter days, so I've been making sure she gets extra physical activity time. That doesn't make much difference, except maybe she MAY eat better sometimes.

:hiphip: power is back on :hiphip:

The roads by me are terrible. They plowed, but there's still lots of snow on them - and it's snowing again. Wasn't planning on going anywhere today, but had to. My brother (and my nieces and nephew) decided to come over, and he ran out of gas 2 miles away. They walked (cell phone reception is spotty out here). Had to run him back to his car with a gas can. When I came back, I couldn't get up my driveway (there's a hill/slope at the end of it, easy to go down, hard to go up). Parked the car where I got stuck, left the keys in it, walked to the house. Then when my brother got here, he had to move my car.

So now I'm home, not going anywhere, and hoping my morning class gets cancelled.

Sorry Red, but I think she may just be getting too old for it...maybe adjust her bedtime to a little earlier and let her stay up w/quiet time...my DD quit napping at 3 and she was fine just watching some cartoons during that time so I could go rest. Good luck!
