So me and mistah don't usually give each other anniversary gifts. We exchange cards and go out to eat. WELL today DH came home with one hell of a gift! He bought me a new laptop!!! (mine was an old **** pos). So I'm on her now...........trying to get used to it..............way different keyboard. Windows 8...........all different stuffs to me.


I told him he shouldn't have done that and that I don't deserve it and he said of course you do! He's too good to me. :)

Off to Illinois State University for the Marching Band Championships. Tired as hell, didn't sleep again. Now 11 hours in the freezing cold sitting in the stadium...yay!! :sarcasm:

I am soooo bored and sooooo unmotivated. Dh and boys went to Father Son Camp so it is just me and dd5. I am tired of doing laundry/cleaning - but still need to clean dd5's room again. She is a tornado in her room. I think my fun for the day will be to wash her hair, blow dry her hair, curl her hair (or maybe I should do curlers, not sure), and repaint her finger and toe nails. Then maybe we will bake something and have that with some tea?????? ..............I really need a me kind of hobby since whatever will I do when they all grow up???
 
Mistah saved Brody from a coyote last night! He took him out front (off leash) and was standing a few feet away from where Brody was (we have a fire hydrant out front lol) when he heard rustling in the leaves, so he figured maybe a raccoon. It starts coming around the corner of the house and he's thinking too big for a raccoon is it a fox? Oh HELL NO! It's a COYOTE :eek:

Coyote starts to make a beeline for Brody so mistah jumps in the middle and starts barking at the coyote (:roll:) chases him off course, so the coyote goes across the street but then turns and is now headed straight for my little pup again! Mistah ran and got in the middle again grabbed Brody before the coyote did and ran back in the house!

Whew! Poor guy his heart was pounding out of his chest when he got inside, I thought he was going to have a heart attack!

The coyotes have been terrible the last week or so :surrender: they are still out there skulking around in the mornings when I take him out because it's still very dark. IDK what to do about it. Brody insists on going the minute I get up and won't wait until it starts to get light :surrender:

Sounds like you need a fenced yard. Do you live in the country? Dh said they heard a pack of wolves howling last night when ds12 went out of the tent to go to the bathroom. Then they discovered something had gotten into their stuff last night and had torn open/eaten hotdog buns. The kids thought it was cool and I thought.......wolves????........there are wolves!

I wish we had a fence :surrender: but alas it's a rental and it's river front so no fency for us. We are not in the country but we are on the river and at a dead end. Across the river from us there are more wooded areas and they congregate over there. It's really gross when they come down and pluck and unsuspecting goose off the bank and maul it. It's repulsive to have to listen to.

Ummmmm....foster care, duh. :lol: I know I totally panicked. :p Me & about 8 other women in our class, so it must be common!

Or there's always volunteering or knitting or golf. :)


DH & I are so lazy on these Saturdays with nothing going on. :surrender: It's too cold for yard work, the kids aren't home...I'm making banana bread. :)
 
I am now driving a 2005 red Escape. Thing feels HUGE compared to my Bug and DH's mini cooper. But I'll adjust (right?)

Tons of miles but since I don't drive much (less than 2,000 a year) and it was in our budget. No way we could afford another car payment.
 
Congrats Lauri! I hope you come to like it half as much as your bug. :) I've been driving a SUV for several years now and hate when I have to drive DH's lil Ford Focus. You'll get used to it. ;)
