so what are you thinking right now?

Woke up to DS17 letting me know his "gifted studies" group decided they all needed to be at a library there is no bus to from our house in 30 minutes. Great. Times like these make me regret not letting him take driver's ed last year....

Come home had DD8, DS7 and DD3 clean their room. It was horrid, had not cleaned it well since school started...my fault, I was dreading it and they really need "help" - they always end up fighting when not directed on what to do.

I knew the carpet was dirty so after vacuuming, got out the carpet cleaner and did the whole room...then while it's out, I should just do the hallway too right?

Then get lunch, monitor homework....clean the fridge because its filthy, oh we have stuff I should make DH a pie since he's in a lot of back pain this weekend.....

I had told the kids we could go to the movies tonight (free since DS17 is working there now!) once we got the basement clean. So then I had to go "help" with that too....

And since I have the carpet cleaner out why not start on the first floor?

Then... Hotel Transylvania at the theater - it is cute! I did not expect to like it!

Where did I get all of this energy? And determination? Any other day any one of those tasks would make me feel accomplished.

Ugh. Now I have to sit down and do my "weekend work" for my job. Might just have to get up early, its late.

I think he (the coyote) thinks he's found an easy mark :surrender: he's been trolling around the yard for the last couple of hours. Bonus DS10 is here so I'm trying not to freak out. at least he didn't bring friends

Now don't you wish you'd had a bucket o'chipmunks you could have been tossing across the street to keep them away?

read this an besides a few minor changes sounds like my days

Nanny, that is NUTS. There is no way I would let my kid participate if they had bleeding on the brain. It's HIGH SCHOOL BAND, for christ's sake. WTF is wrong with parents? I am insanely competitive, too....you'll hear me saying to DD all throughout her season, "Are you HURT or INJURED? There is a difference. If you're hurt, get your **** our there. If you're injured, let's go to the ER." :p Brain bleeding? Ummm, no. Even I draw the line there.

I agree 100% but the kid begged neurosurgeon for permission. The kid laying in ICU begging neurosurgeon to let him march. He gave the ok and said if any sign of trouble, call it quits and get to hospital. His parents didn't want to crush his future. State competition is for all the beans and they truly are good parents. I don't think I would have made same choice. Idk, this director would have ended any chance of college music degree for the kid. It is crazy competitive.

High School music is MUCH LESS forgiving than sports.

I will not make a value judgment about the kid in question, but I was a band kid (had a college scholarship & everything) and missing one or two things was a problem, but missing something as critical as state would be career-ending.

Music is VERY ****y, especially if you are good or have talent/potential.

You are definately not ever allowed to miss most music stuff, but marching band is a big fat no no. This band director has far reach with most colleges in Illinois and a few in other states and he believes in getting even. That is the reason I haven't ripped his testicles off yet. I'm waiting for her auditions, offers and scholarships to come it and we commit. Then I will be joining a team of parents to get the asshat fired.

DD's band finished 6th overall in finals out of 60 bands. It's fantastic, but dd was not happy because they finished 3rd last year at state. My insides are frozen.

Here is the Torterra shell that I created. Still have to make the tail and affix it all to his hoodie. Along with adding the spikes to the hood.

Here is what I was shooting for.

Can't believe I went to bed at 12:30 and was up before 5:30. I know I am going to be TIRED today and I have a ton of things to do and a show to go to in Rosemont. Guess I may as well get my butt in gear and go out and do my shopping early this morning! At least I was productive and did 2 loads of laundry and made 10 bucks in surveys too!

Anyway Joy for coyotes - if you are in the country, it is very unlikely that there is one alone. Typically a sentinel "one" will be sent out to lure prey away from safety where it will be set upon by the rest of the pack.

If there's one, there's a pack. Be careful. A pistol is your best bet, but bear spray will also work (you can get it at Walmart I think). Is some stronger than pepper spray.

It looks awesome. Is it a Pokemon or am I out of touch?

You are correct. It is a pokemon. I think DH is rather surprised by the end result. I think he was unsure if I could pull it off. I am pretty proud of it since I had no pattern and just made it all up.

Great job Clars!!!

Lauri you just can't catch a break! :huggy: Did you get it from a dealership? I hope they will take care of the problem.

We got it from a local delaer who has been in business over 50 years so hopefully they will work with us on it. I AM SO PISSED!

Wanted to take Dad's truck back out to him today but think we'll hold onto it for awhile longer.

I'm thinking my parents are coming over today. I didn't get up until 10:30 and I have yet to clean, make food, etc. I wonder if Barb is available to do the voodoo she does so well? :snicker:
