@Dan Hutter Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. How much did it cost to add more ram to your VPS? What were the specs before?
And oh my, I hope you feel better real soon. Being sick really sucks. My diet? It sucks. I haven't been working out or anything since I got jumped last week - since I don't want any sweat getting into the wounds. =X It sucks.
Ya, anything for momma! :D
That's good that your buddy is coming back. Did he leave for a vacation or something?
Thanks.
I'm going to push hard on quitting smoking now. I've been trying on and off for a couple of years. Maybe without the smokes I won't need the medicine.
The RAM is an extra $20/mo for half a GB. I went from 1280MB to 1536MB, not too bad but I'm still hovering at ~75% utilization. Once I get paid from one of my advertisers I'm moving to a hybird server with the same company (http://www.wiredtree.com/managedhybrid/) which starts out with 3GB of RAM, double what I have now.
My buddy is an older guy he's actually my best friend's father. He's been like a father to me since mine passed 18 years ago. He's offically a snow bird he winters in FL with his girlfriend but stays in NY the rest of the time. I tell him he's getting soft in his old age. :D
LOL, I actually move pretty very fast my neighbor often takes the ride with me and cannot keep up..I'm a man on a mission! :D3 hours to shop?? Good lord man!
My shopping list is made out in the order of the store's layout. It's more like 5 hours total. I hit 5 stores (sometimes 6) and a butcher shop to get the best prices on everything. Wal-mart is the longest because I do all the OTC pharmacy stuff, mom's meds, health and beauty, cat food/litter, paper goods, and some food. Yup, I'm that guy pushing two carts through the store, lol
After coming home and emptying out Wal-Mart's load, I head 20 minutes in the oppisite direction to Aldi, which is a discount food store they have some crazy sick deals there and the in house brands are very good overall. I get most of our food there. Family Dollar for coffee, it's $1.75 cheaper per can there. Dollar General is next for incidentials like soap, cleaning supplies, etc. Last is the butcher I spend between $50-$80 (depending on the cuts) on a package of meat which fills our freezer and keeps us for a month sometimes a little more.
I usually do it all in one day but I got off to a late start yesterday and just wasn't feeling well.
