That works for me too, I have to take like 4 of them though. I'm too young to get my hernia refused that causes the heart burn, so I'll have to deal with it for a long time. I think I know what caused it this time though. I had spicy seafood alfredo for dinner, and I think that caused it.

oh I drink a $h^t ton of milk, maybe that's why one is good for me..lol
 
You have to watch with milk. Even though it's a base (base + acid = neutralization) there is lactic acid in milk which can contribute to heartburn as it's being digested.

Where @Monster when ya need him -- he can explain this a lot better than me. :)

I tried to get out for my walk but only made it a mile. The humidity is sick out there.

Other than that have to meet a client in 10 minutes and am playing around with a fresh Ubuntu install..Fun fun fun. :D

I know that as well which is why I don't drink a ton of it.

I went on a late night run/walk last night

I ran about 1.5 miles straight, sprinted the last hundred yards which caused me to walk most of the way back
Ended up with about 3.6 miles according to google maps.

I did about 1.8 miles on the Elpitical last night at the gym and burned 600 calories, then did my weights session. I had a pretty bad headache for some reason so I couldn't relax my muscles in the hot tub.

One of my buddies is away and I've been checking on his house and walking 'around the block' up by his house everyday. I end up with exactly 3.6 miles by the time all is said and done. It usually takes me about 2 hours but that's with quite a bit of hills.

I wish I could walk at night.. No street lights and bears keep me close to shelter at night. :D

The streets don't scare me at night. It's more about the cops harassing those that walk late at night. I used to walk 2 miles from my house to a friends house daily before my girlfriend and I got a car.

roflol. I just wanna walk. The worst feeling is being out there at night and hearing branches and chit crackle in the woods. You don't know if it's just a squirrel, deer, etc or a big **** bear waiting to have you for his midnight snack.

The locals (constables) sign off at midnight most nights in my area. They all know me from when I worked the bars and see me walking all the time. I wave when they pass just to keep it friendly. Sheriff's (county) and Troopers (state) rarely patrol my area unless there's a call out this way or on the weekends in the summer. I do have a Sheriff's substation right next to my building but it's rare to see anyone there. I don't wave to the troopers unless I know who it is after I got a $185 ticket for accidentally dropping 2 gum wrappers a couple summers ago.:mad:

I'm in the center of a 1 traffic light town. There are street lights right in town but once you run out of sidewalk that's it. The sidewalk only goes maybe 1/4 mile around the block here. Last summer I had some friends that lived in the building around the way and I frequently walked home late night. Cops never bothered me but I stopped walking at night after I seen a huge bear jump the wrought iron fence across the way and almost take it down.

For the most part bears (and other animals) are more afraid of you then you are of them but all it takes for them is to be hungry and you could be their next meal. How do you tell if a bear is hungry? Damned if I know so I'll just keep my distance. :D

When I lived in Florida, it was a fairly built up area that had sidewalks and streetlights. I used to walk the dog at night all the time as it was to hot to do anything during the day. I loved it until my friend told me about wild hogs. I don't know if he was just BSin' but after that any little sound I heard coming from the woods I was sure it was a feral hog wanting to make me or the dog a meal. :unsure:
