The Confabulation Thread - Part 2

OMG, Machinarium for Linux is such a steaming pile of **** thanks to Adobe. It's a Flash application (probably Adobe AIR), and runs only as a 32-bit app. It is barely useable b/c it loses settings and save games all the time, mouse control quality varies from unusable to excellent (depending on whether the game runs in full-screen or windowed mode), keystrokes work only at random, etc. It is barely worth the 10 bucks that it costs (the soundtrack which is included as an extra download makes up for that, though), and it is sold only through a charity with an opaque website that sells stuff only once in a blue moon (why the game cannot be found on their website only on the developer's website raises a question mark). I wish the developers would integrate it into Ubuntu's app store and kick Adobe's **** to give them a proper Flash player to run their game on.

Adobe needs to get with the times.
Reminds me of when iTunes freezes up[64 bit] with over 900k memory usage.

Last night?
I finished up a client job, no I'm going to the new job next week so I have a few loose ends to take care of before I move over.
Gotcha. How is your client liking vBulletin 4? That's what you upgraded them to, right?

They were on 4.0.1, so they've been using 4 for a while.
They didn't like the activity stream, but no one does.

Ya, I want to remove mine - and switch it with the Ajax new posts plugin that we have. vBulletin 5 should just go to the "new posts" feature again - including blog comments, new blogs, etc. Activity stream needs be removed, I don't even use it. I'm not even sure how many of my users even use it, either.

Jeez, I just finished a coding marathon today (had some urgent work to do) .. my fingers hurt a bit! :borg: :dead:

But my pen tablet came today and it works perfectly on Linux so far ... makes me happy! :pompus: :)

What new things did you code?

Happy Tuesday Gents. It's raining and windy here. We have a tornado watch until 7p and high wind advisory until 8p.
