I'm just back online. We lost power Monday afternoon and cell service soon after. Finally got cell service last night but my battery went dead because I was using it as a flash light.

Wound up having to drive 45 mins away to a diner to charge my cell. We were ill prepared because I thought the new was just hyping stuff up again as with Irene last year but when they closed the schools a couple days a head of time I should've known. As soon as the stores are restocked I'll be stocking up an emergency water and battery supply.

It amazes me how we can be thrown back into the stone age within just a couple days. It was a miserable few days between running to the spring to get water for my neighbors and I, running around getting dry ice, and my body aching I think I slept maybe 12 hours all week. I can live without TV and *gasp* the internet but no showers was killing me. Although we are very fortunate lots of people lost their homes a some lost their lives.

I have a few PMs sitting here. I'll get to them in the AM thanks for your patience.
