Vampire: Blood in the Water

Anaïs looked around. They had walked a mere block from the club, so she wasn't about to use her speed and cause a scene. She quickly began walking back towards the café and spotted Dante emerging from an alley, looking rather greenish beneath his skin. Had he had something from the bar? Poor thing. He hadn’t been bequeathed her gift then. She grabbed his arm and dragged him back into the building followed by the rather amused looking wolf.

(fr & whispered in Dante’s ear) “You can lose your stomach in the men’s room, and then come join Daithi, Wilhelm, & myself. Don’t worry, it’ll come out ash. Apparently, we’ve got a much bigger problem.â€

The wine in her stomach was still threatening to escape, but the concern of their situation was looming far larger in her mind. Turning to Manji, she asked in English,

“What are the chances of getting rid of this jackass if the lot of us work together?â€

'Slim and none. Like I said even Gren fears this one and Ive seen him throw busses at people. This guys not right. A group of your Bruja emptied six clips into him and it didn't phase him. Four Fangs have died trying to take him down to prove themselves to Gren. I heard that he once hit the big vamp hangout in downtown, killed everyone, even the **** Sebastian. They say hes immortal, some ancient samurai warrior from fudal Japan. He and Gren got some sort of history I hear. You could ask Gren about him but well, hes just as likely to kill you as the hunter.' "You go inside Ill stay out here, Ill come tell you when he is gone." ((I cant spell check anymore?))

Daithi caught Anais' return out of the corner of his eye. As Wilhelm kept the ladies interested with his broken english charms, Daithi watched Anais and Dante enter. Something seemed wrong, and he wasn't just concerned about Dante's odd sickly colour...there was an urgency to their movements that hadn't been there before.

His attention was drawn back by one of the girls, so bold they were these days. He wondered if any of them had ever seen the inside of a confessional. Probably not, if they had they'd probably still be in it, he had a feeling the white makeup covered a multitude of sins.

Anaïs made her way to the table, after nudging poor Dante in the right direction, and sat lightly on the table's edge, waiting to be noticed. After a moment, she cleared her throat.

"Leave. Now." She commanded the girls. She hated doing it when the guys were getting along so swimmingly, but desperate times and all that other stuff. The females glared at her, but left, one dropping a card into Daithi's lap. Anaïs hopped off the table and sat in one of the now-vacant seats. She pitched her voice low, to keep from being overheard and breaking the masquerade altogether.

"Gentlemen," she said with a quite serious air, "I think we're in trouble. Lots of it."

IC : Shade gave a grin... Laughing wasn't exactly something you could do when your voice couldn't rise above a whisper... (en) "Another time... Past lives aren't something one should dwell upon too often. By the way, it's been awhile... where are the others?" Shade reached into his pocket and pulled out a cell phone... "Hang on, I'm gonna give Anaïs a call... I've got a bad feeling bout this..."

Daithi looked inquisitively at the small rectangular paper the girl dropped in his lap. It had a sequence of numbers on it, under the name "Dorella". He wasn't sure what it meant, so he smiled and tucked it into his pocket for lack of anything else to do.

As soon as the girls were gone, Anais leaned over and gave them a warning of trouble. Daithi looked around the club, clenching a fist out of reflex. Nothing SEEMED different, the place still stunk the same, however, the mood began to feel different, though Daithi thought perhaps that was just him sensing Anais' tension.

"What is it?" he asked, then continued not knowing if that question would be sufficient, "How many are there? Where?"

Liz sat quietly while Shade used his 'cell phone' some kind of contraption where you could talk into it to reach others. Seemed a marvellous idea. She stood up pacing waiting for an answered. She wondered if Dante was ok, it had been a while since they had properly spoken now that she thought about it...

Dante's stomach rumbled as they sat at the table. Lousy alcohol, I just had to forget didn't I? Anais seemed intent on telling them all something important and he tried to sit patiently and listen. Another rumble hit his stomach and reflexively the alcohol crept up his insides a little. "(En) Where is the washroom?" He said to everyone and no one in particular. Somebody motioned into a corner and with a pat to Anais' shoulder and apologies, Dante quickly walked over and found two doors, one with a little man and one with a little woman. He choose the one with the little man with the last bit of wits he had about him, burst in and bent over a toilet and let the alcohol work it's way out of him. Must remember about that from now on...

The air seemed to grow thick and oily as the black BMW pulled up to the club. The music coming from the car was loud but not half as loud as when the door opened to the car. A few seconds later the music stopped and a figure dressed in a long black coat covering a very nice all black suit entered the club. No one in the croud seemed to notice him, it was as if he wasn't even there. The only ones who seemed to notice his presense where the vampires. The aura about him was of shear terror, no thing had ever put so much fear into the group as this man. It was all they could do to keep from running then and there.

Slowly he scanned accross the club, looking for some thing, or some one.

Anaïs opened her mouth to speak when her cell phone rang. She pulled the phone out of her purse and motioned to the others to hold on for a moment. The conversation on her end sounded much like this, “Pardon me.” (to the others, then into the phone), “Talk to me. Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Um…no. Yes. Hunter. Café on 15th. Mmm-hmm. No kidding. All right. Soon. Yeah. Wolf. Don’t get your boxers bunched. It’s fine. I know. I hang out with you, don’t I? Mmm-hmm. Mmm-hmm. Okay. Bye.”

She turned around and noticed the hunter. A million French curses rang through her mind and were stilled.

"Hunter." The word was out of her mouth before she could quell it. Yes, she was terrified, but that made her angry. No one had the right to do this to her. She was Olivier's childe, one of the most respected Daevas in France and most of the continent. The anger stiffened her spine and caused her to glance a challenge at the man.

Her friends were forgotten. The club members were gone. The only thing she saw was this human who wished to destroy those of the night, and knew that she would kill him or die gladly in the attempt.

"Human, RIIIIIGHT!"

We will get to the fight in a minuet first answer my PM. We will see how good you think you are.

IC: Shade put away his cell phone and slowly rubbed his temples... 'I don't get paid enough to deal with this, he though to himself...' The backwash of disbelief was gonna sting a bit from this one... Slowly he looked up at Liz. "The others are at a club, with a wolf... and that bad-**** samurai hunter just showed up. We have about 2 minutes to get down there... By now you should know anything can happen, so promise me you won't give in to doubt on this one... and I'll get us there in 30 seconds."

Liz nodded. Not to doubt...? What on earth did he mean...?

She guessed she shouldn't ask, time seemed to be of the essence.

'I promise,'

The hunter immeadiately turned to Anais. "hmm, I come here for servents and I find masters, how fortunate."

Slowly he walks twords you Anais. He makes now threatening moves his hands are loose at his side. He is confident and unnafraid. A thin smile cracks on his face. "Show me how you fight, scum."

IC : Shade nodded... With that, he took Liz gently by the hand, and pushed her roughly into the shadowy corner of the room. She never hit the wall, but rather she fell through the darkness. Shade immeadiately recoiled from the sheer disbelief radiating from her, before jumping through the shadows himself.

There was no sound, no sight... just inky darkness. All while an eternity seemed to slip by at a snail's pace... Then as suddenly as it had began... A bright shaft of light entered the field of vision, and blinded the eyes...

They stepped out of the dimly lit corner of the men's bathroom in the nightclub... Shade staggered, his head felt like someone had it in a vice... he felt dizzy... he felt sick... The sheer level of mundanity generated by Liz's inability to believe in what he had just done was hitting him like a freight-train out of control. He ran to one of the stalls, and quickly lost the hamburger he had eaten earlier. Although, he did have to admit... she did better than most of the mortals he had to do that to... From the sounds in the next stall, he wasn't the only sick one here. Slowly got to his feet, looked at liz with a blurred vision,a weak smile, and whispered:

"At least you didn't wear cold-rion on you... "

OOC: Time Delay for Flicker-Flash: let's go with a 1.5 minutes, Sicander! lol!

thats better then the 30 min you once got trying to cross a room as I recall?

Ok back to game.

The hunter continues to walk forward and suddenly stops. "Hmm and more come to play. Most simply run from me, this is a nice change of pace. But this setting is far ro cramped for such a large fight."

With that he flexes up his arms in front of him and the veins in his forehead throb and with a sudden blast of unholy energy the entire club is leveled to the ground. The shear force of his power ripped the walls from the foundation and blew the roof into the ajoining street. The vampires and Shade are thrown back like a linebacker hit them a a full run. "Now thats more like it. Now, get off your asses and HIT ME!"

Dante was busy making friends with the toilet when he heard somebody in the stall beside him. Odd, didn't hear anyone come in. Then he heard Shade's whispery tone speaking to what he could only guess was himself. With a wipe of his mouth Dante peeked his head out the door of his stall to see Liz standing in the men's washroom and Shade emerging from the stall next to him. But...they weren't with us... "(En) How you two get here?" As the last word drifted from his mouth, the walls drifted from the foundation around him, and Dante went flying right along with them. Water gushed up from where toilets and sinks had been. Dante gathered himself and managed to get up on his hands and knees and looked up towards where the blast of wind or whatever it was had come from, "(It) Uh oh..."

Anaïs smiled cruelly as she gracefully got to her feet. The wolf hadn't been much help, and she'd as much as gotten herself into this mess. It was fine. She'd always wondered what demon blood would taste like.

"Gladly. But if that's the best you can do, you sorry son of a hedgewitch, you're far outclassed by any of these ghouls here...let alone me."

Disdainfully, she tossed her gun aside (wouldn't do any good against this one anyway), and used her celerity to dart at him from different points in what used to be the room, taunting as she went, flicking her knife at his clothes to mock him. No serious damage yet...she wanted him to know she was toying with him.

"Hit you? Poor little demon-spawn, do you even know who you're messing with? And you STILL want to play? Has that human body you're trapped in addled your brain? Or what's left of it?"

She kept going, using her movements and words to confuse him and started edging him away from the knot of her friends.

"Your masters may have allowed you showy scraps of magick, but I have the blood of the ancients running in my veins, you piece of trash, and I WILL have you as my b*tch."

Liz saw Dante come out of the toilet, a look of surprise appeared on his face. Only to be taken away as all three of them were forced back by some unknown force.

'(It)uh oh..' was all she heared comign from Dante. She got up and shook herself. '(eng) why is it everywhere I go there's trouble,' she raced over towards Anais.
