Vampire: Blood in the Water

"Blood of the Anchients! Fool I am an anchient!"

With that another blast of energy from nowere throws Anais a full block down the street.

"I havent even touched you and your already loosing, GET UP AND HIT ME!!!"

Anaïs stood up casually, purposefully turning her back on the samurai, and speaking to him over her shoulder as she dusted herself off.

"Ancient? Ha. You are no more ancient than that garbage you blast from your car. And if that's really the best you can manage, I'll just walk away now...no point in continuing what'll obviously be mere humiliation for you."

She watched the reaction on the demon's face. He was puzzled, and the tattering of his sleeve hadn't helped her case any. Now was obviously the time to attack. With a scream of pure primal rage, she flew at him again, this time knowing her best weapons were in her fangs and speed.

Anais threw herself at the hunter, he only stood there, unmoving, stareing her down. Just as she was about to impact there was a flicker of a blade reflecting light. Suddenly she realized that the hunter was no longer in front of her. In an instant her was standing behind her, and her cheek was bleeding from a shallow cut.

"Too slow! try again."

(What is no one else going to join in? Just gonna sit there and watch?)

OOC: Sorry, I had to go yell at a cellular phone company...actually, I have to yell at them some more, but I'll post first

Daithi was caught off guard by the sudden force. He watched in awe as Anais attacked the hunter. Finally, at the sight of the cut on her cheek, he snapped back to reality and realised he was in this fight as well. He changed into a mountain lion, and hoped that the hunters attention was taken up by Anais and Wilhelm's scramblings to his feet (ooc: just filling in for ol' absent Djeuve). He stalked the hunter, that was his favorite part of any hunt, he thought, even in human form but especially as a cat.

(OOC: How far can I go with this?)

Daithi picked his moment and leaped at the hunter, drawing his claws for a swipe to throw the hunter off balance and his teeth to finish the job...

((Id say about 50 ft.))

The mountain lion charged the hunter, with teeth and claws beared. Seconds befor his full weight would have fallen on him the hunter thrust out his hand and caught David around the neck. Befor David even knew what was happening the hunter tossed him like a ragdoll accross the ruins of the club into a near by lamp post.

"Anyone else want to try!"

Daithi lay stunned. The hunter hadn't even been looking at him. Shaking himself back into human form, Daithi answered the hunter's question under his breath in a mutter, "I'm all for scampering off from whence I came." He sat for a moment by the lamp post, then eased himself up and walked back over to Wilhelm. He warned his friend in a whisper that in his personal opinion, he wouldn't stand a chance. At least the stalking had been fun...

Anaïs touched her cheek. Her face! The impudent **** had cut her beautiful face. Olivier would have disowned her had he seen how badly she'd misjudged this one.

"Perhaps we can continue this another time, you demonic simpleton. I'm afraid that I have an appointment that simply won't hold so I may play with one such as you. I bid you good even."

And with that, she beckoned to her friends, choosing to simply walk away. Really, she was hoping the **** would try something else, but if not, it would give her time to heal her face and get someone to find out something about the demon possessed so she could well and truly own him at their next meeting.

Perhaps this Gren person might have someplace to start.

Anais walked away from the hunter.<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

"No no no, our game isn’t over yet."

In a flash he was in front of her again, or was he to the side? No behind, wait no above.... His voice seemed to echo from all around her.<o =""></o>

<o =""></o>

"You won’t escape me."

Another flash of steel and she was bleeding, badly. The tip of a curved samurai blade was thrust through her gut from behind. Blood poured from the wound in a torrent.
<o =""></o>

<o =""></o>
"No no no I’m not done with you yet, this isn’t over."<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

Then from the shadows came a voice.<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

"Yes it is."<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

Suddenly in front of Anais appeared a visage of dread. A figure like that of Anubis. A large jackal creature stood nose to nose with her. With a blink of his milky white eyes Anais felt a tingling and everything when black. Soon after the others saw the same visage in front of them. This jackal beast had taken them, whisked them away in an instant to another plane.<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

As the world faded around them they heard the hunter screaming out in a loud guttural voice.<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>
"NO you will not have my prize! **** YOU WEREWOLF! **** YOU AND YOUR MASTERS!"

<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

They awoke some time later in a small apartment. It was furnished but dank and ugly and in dire disrepair. The entire group was lying across the furniture and on the floors. A dark skinned tattooed figure sat in a corner, sweat rolling off his forehead. He was exhausted and obviously in pain. Anais was bandaged but still badly hurt; her vampire healing had kicked in. <o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

The tattooed man spoke with extreme effort,<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

"Ya... you’re safe... for now."<o =""></o>
<o =""></o>

He was exhausted but on top of that a look of fear and anxiety was on his face. A palpable sense of sorrow filled the room.<o =""></o>

OOC: The smilies have infiltrated the vampire game....soon there will be no stopping them. I'll post tomorrow for Daithi. :p

IC: Shade picked himself up, looked around the room... and dusted himself off. He still looked a little paler than usual. He had had little oppurtunity to recover himself and face the demon, before getting whisked away suddenly... And just when things were getting good...

"Well, that was fun... what'd I miss?" he whispered...

OOC: sorry folks, work has decided to be too much for me to post in here during the day, takes too much thought (do i mean work, or this? who knows lol). i'll try to post while i'm at home more often.

ooc: I would post...but I have no idea what to write someone help!! *sighs*

never mind I'll write erm..something..

ic: Liz turned around to see Daithi and Anais lunging themselves at the demon to no avail.

She could see this demon's other half, she could tell he felt no emotion, not one drop, except for maybe sorrow...but it wasn't coming from him...maybe from his sword?

He had black feathery wings on his back...'wow pretty,' she murmured.

This demon/man she had seen before, or at least felt this pure undying sorrow, that time it had come from him, himself, this time from the sword...where was he from?...

She turned to face Shade, he looked extremely pale as he got up.

Something inside her clicked. Of course! her dreams...or would a normal person/vampire call them nightmares....?

Anaïs closed her eyes from her place on an armchair. She could hear Manji talking, could smell his sorrow. That always did funny things to the taste of blood...gave it a tinge of...she never could describe it, but it wasn't pleasant. She was also aware of the others moving slowly, getting to their feet. Mostly, she could feel the Beast inside her, desperate to feed, to finish healing her wounds, to revel in blood-stained gluttony for its dark pleasures.

She opened her mouth to speak and croaked a little. How undignified! She tried again. (fr) “I owe you one hell of a blood debt, Manji. Thank you.†She opened her eyes and saw his condition. Fething hell! She wasn’t a careta…oh…yes she was. It was a role she’d accepted when she accompanied these five to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><ST1:pAmericas</st1:country-region>. English. The thought came to her belatedly. She had to speak in English. (en) “Thank you. We…I…owe you.â€
<O:p</O:p

To the others, she said, “I think you’ve met Manji? The nice werewolf who saved our arses from the demon?â€<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Shade had asked something…what….oh…what had he missed. “Not much. The hunter got a little frisky, and Daithi & I got our backsides kicked. Nothing huge.â€

At that, she started laughing soundlessly. Nothing huge. That demon would pay for what he’d done to her. No one humiliated those of Olivier’s line. No mortal, no vamp, and certainly no human who’d made a deal with the devil.<O:p</O:p

Well If no one will post I will.

Manji stood up. "Are you all ok?" There was extreme effort in his voice. "I took you through the eather back here. We are in Auburn still, but the beast wont find us. If he can track me he deserves to catch us. Now I'm sorry, I don't have any blood for you and you won't like mine, trust me. Please don't rage in my home, I saved your lives and I won't hesitate to take them if you try anything. Your the first vampires I've ever had here.... well willingly anyway. I called Jerry and told him what happend, he's on his way to see you. He wants to talk about somthing."

"What? Your surprised I know Jerry? Trust me, everyone knows Jerry."

IC: Shade whispered in addition to Manji's statement... (english) "It's true. Everyone around here knows Jerry. I wouldn't be standing here in front of you if it wasn't.

Anaïs stood slowly, willing the room not to wobble so alarmingly. She was lower on blood than she'd feared, but was not going to frenzy. Alarmingly bad taste, she would be the butt of jokes on both sides of the Atlantic for at least a century.

"Did you hear about Olivier's girl?" the Daevas would ask. "No? Simply dreadful, darling. Seems a werewolf got the better of her. Caused her to frenzy right in his apartment..." The thought of that was almost worse than final death. Almost.

She shook her head. "I give you my word, Manji. It would not do to frenzy on one's host, non?"

Jerry was coming, so she had to be good for a while longer. Soon though, she would have to race into the night and feed, or there would be no restraint, despite her intentions and heritage.

She swayed a little and gracefully sat back down. The beast in her screamed in its starvation, and even those she was to take care of were looking pretty tasty.

OOC: Sorry...for some reason all your posts didn't show up in my "new posts" searches...weird.

Daithi gathered himself slowly, unsure of what had actually happened. It all seemed a blur since he hit that lamp post. 'Got his backside kicked' indeed. He almost felt lucky that the boys in Ireland were long dead and gone, he could imagine their jeers if they had seen how'd he had been thrown.

There was a look in Anais' eyes that made him uneasy...she looked...hungry. Daithi felt the now familiar yearning for blood as well, but he knew he could wait just a little longer. Anais though, had bled far more than him this night.

Turning his eyes back to the werewolf, Daithi took in the sight of him. He wondered briefly if it would offend the man if Daithi suddenly turned into a wolf. Daithi shook his head and let a small grin play at his lips as the...Manji...spoke, Daithi replied with his usual Irish lilt,

"Nothing surprises me anymore, sir" and then added with a small wink, "though I must admit, nothing surprises me any less either"

IC: Anais looked really hungry. A little 'TOO' hungry. Shade leaned back into a darker corner, putting a few more inches between her and himself, and took in the surrounding room to it's full extent. While the fanged-kind may horribly regret using his kind as food, that didn't stop him from looking appetizing... Besides, some of their sick wack-jobs got off on the acid-trips... Shade gave a bit of a shudder, caught himself, and regained his composure. He reached into his jacket for the drawing note-pad and pencil... only to pull out Bit clutching the pencil in a deathgrip-like vice. He let out a sigh, carefully he set the creature on his shoulder, and softly started to sketch once more.
