am facing the hard reality that we can't move.....and i am sad. DH will not walk away which is a stuggle for me. We need more space, okay we don't NEED it, there are people worse off than we are and all that stuff blah, blah, blah. I feel like i have to keep getting rid of toys because we don't have enough space for furniture which is not fair to the kids. 878 sq ft with no garage isn't cutting it anymore. End of complaint

'splain please

There was a thread here a few months back where some were talking about accidentally cooking the meatpad that they put under the meat in the packaging. I have never done that....until today. Dropped my roast into the frying pan and when I flipped it got a surprise. I browned the meatpad.

Feeling kinda crappy. I got a flu shot but wondering if this is a light version of the flu. So far just kind of achy and headachy & I keep feeling cold. Not really the chills.

Keeping my fingers crossed it's not the flu.

My sinuses are going crazy. Is anyone else experiencing bad sinuses now? I usually never have sinus infections or problems but man my nose, throat, ears, and a headache that won't go away and gets worse when I lay down. I wouldn't have thought in the winter it would be this bad, but that's coming from someone who rarely experiences sinus problems.

On a happy note....DH is going back to work tomorrow, so thankful for that!

Hope you get to feeling better soon!

And, glad to hear your DH is going back to work too!

Here is something fun to do with your kids on a cold winter night ...

Light a fire, turn off all the lights, drink hot chocolate, and read "scary" (not too scary though since my kids are only 8 and 6, LOL) stories to your kids.

My kids are loving it right now.

Bend at the waist leaning your head down. Does that hurt? Press lightly right above your eye brows. Now, press along the side of your nose.....where your nose touches your cheek. Does that hurt? If the answers are yes, you probably have a sinus infection and should make an appt.

:shesaid:

I'd also recommend Neilmed Sinus Rinse, it really helps.

Trying not to cry or throw up.

Spent the last couple of hours on the phone with sis, trying to support her, discussing her last scan & test results [not good], her 'Five Wishes'/advance directive, and the surgery she is scheduled to have tomorrow.

How I wish we didn't have to discuss any of this. This was never a conversation I ever envisioned having with a sibling.... with our parents, yes, but with a sibling, no. :cry1:

The surgery is to hopefully help her breathe easier, not to remove any of the cancer. She can barely breathe now, gets winded climbing even 2 steps. :cry1::cry1::cry1:

I know neither of us will get a wink of sleep tonight. I'll be praying non-stop, there is nothing else I can do.

Cancer sucks

Hope u feel better Joan! And :huggy: to everyone else!!!

Thanks Ann! I took a hot shower (& had the heat turned up to be sure I wouldn't be cold) and I feel better. Still a little headachy but I don't think it's the flu (I really hope it's not.)

I'm really sorry ennui. I hope the surgery goes well and that it will give her some relief.

Cancer really does suck!

Oh I'm part of that club....

I messed up last night making a quickbread ( in too much of a hurry while watching the hockey game, I guess). I read 1 cup of oil rather than one tbsp of oil. SMH..... it was a recipe from "Cooking Light" It seems that baking and drinking don't mix.
