so what are you thinking right now?

thinking annagirl is awesome!!! She saw my post about not finding my backpacks and had an extra girly one that her DD would not use, so now my 3 yr old is the proud owner. Made my little girl's day!!

I don't have to work today...but can't sleep

Hate working on Halloween- kids are cute but the costumes are just too much to deal with.

Parents please be sure your kid can easily function in their costume. And if you need it picture perfect for later please don't have your kid wear it to daycare today.

They are kids, they get messy.

Thinking about how much I would love to skip work and school today to crawl back into bed and sleep for a few more hours. It's going to be a long day :surrender:

Just got a FB email update from a friend who changed his status to "getting a little wet snow right now." I believe he's in the Lansing, MI area.

Sorry, Cookie, but EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am NOT ready for snow! :surrender: It's not snowing farther south & west in MI, just asked DD18. She's not ready either. :p

Guess it's a good think you're not in West Virginia.

Ugh, I am getting a cold. I am supposed to take DS trick-or-treating with the neighbor boys, but so don't want to stand in the cold with my sore throat and runny nose. I guess I'll make DH go out while I give out candy...

That was exactly my thought. My DD just got a Cinderella dress up outfit and she is wearing it for Halloween and I thought, they play outside and those costumes are made of netting...won't last!! So, I sent her in a cheerleader outfit to pre-school.

Wow, am I having a hard time motivating today! Two days of baking & it looks like a tornado went through here. DD14 is on my last nerve leaving her stuff all throughout the house. I feel bad harping on her because she is so busy with softball & school, but COME ON, pick up your stuff! I've taken over doing her laundry for her because she really doesn't have time, but I think she is mistaking that for me being her house keeper. Her bathroom is disgusting. I just spent 20 minutes scrubbing her tub. Don't even get me started on her bedroom. She had better get it cleaned tonight or I'm going in with a garbage bag tomorrow. One of her teammates is sleeping over tomorrow night because we're leaving early Friday morning for a tournament. The girl is going to think we live in squalor if DD's room stays the way it is. :gah:

I'm having a "I'm failing at being a working mom" moment.

Got the kids into their costumes to get a picture to submit in our office cute kid costume picture. Then got them out of their costumes and into regular clothes to get to daycare. Submit the picture to find out that I missed the deadline only there was no deadline stated. So I wasted that time that I couldn't really afford this morning.

Now I'm at work and find out that I have a meeting from 2-3 that I can't skip out on. The Halloween party at daycare is from 3-4pm, so once again my kids will be the only ones without a parent (or both parents there). The other parents take pictures and tell me how great the pictures are but then don't share them with me.

I'm supposed to be meeting one group of friends for toddler TOT (just a few houses) at 4 and then another at 5 for the big TOT and I'm not feeling it. I just want to go home and crawl into bed.

DH is so sweet...he made me brunch : scrambled eggs, rye toast, hashbrowns, bacon and sausage patty all cooked to perfection...gotta love a man who can cook

Awww canadia you can't do it all all the time. The boys know you love them and as they get older will understand that you work to take care of them. :huggy:

Have you asked some of the moms to email you pics? Have you given them your email addy? I used to chaperone all the field trips, but the last couple of years, I skip the ones to Milwaukee and Chicago because I don't like driving in cities (chaperones have to drive). So the moms who do go are pretty good about telling me about the fun my kids had and emailing me photos (sometimes takes a couple months though lol).

Good luck :cartwheel:

I was just telling cookiemom yesterday how disgusting DS(13 next week)'s toilet is NASTY.........it's like a science project going on in there. :surrender:

Oh and yeah his room is also a disaster. Dirty clothes all over the floor. I put his clean clothes on his chair for him to put away (yeah right) then he knocks the clean ones onto the floor while digging through the pile looking for the clothes he wants to wear.
