Last night I came home from work and the house smelled AWESOME. Turns out DH was baking chocolate and peanut butter brownies!! :wan: They were SOOOOOO good!
 
closing on our house today :bliss: Moving in this weekend :bliss: The weather is supposed to be fantastic -- might hit 70 :bliss:

I'm so glad it's not snowing -- our first time moving as a married couple, we drove a moving truck 6 hours on the interstate at the tail end of a blizzard. Saw lots of semis and SUVs that had slid off the road. Actually I drove; DH slept because he had stayed up late loading the truck. We were towing a car, which made it more challenging. Ohhh then the moving truck RAN OUT OF COOLANT and overheated right as we were coasting into the parking lot to drop it off. Then we turned around, drove the car back to the old place to clean it and spend Christmas with DH's family. It was so cold (you know the cold snap we always get after a good snowfall) that the windshield washer fluid jets on the car froze...

Hopefully this move doesn't have as many "this will be funny later" stories at the end :girl:
 
I hope your move is totally uneventful, KG! :bliss: You must be so excited!!

The last two house we've bought, we've closed & moved on my birthday. :surrender: Happy birthday! Here is tremendous debt! :giggles:

Remember you are with child...your job during the move is to sit, point to what you want done and eat cake! LOL
 
I have come to accept that I should be happy with what I can do instead of being upset by what I cannot do. I need to start being grateful for what the lord has given me because my life (disability) could be a LOT worse.

That's a great attitude to have. I'm sorry you can't do all the things you want though. :huggy:
 
:hiphip: Can't believe the day is finally here! Leave DH and all the others to move everything. You have a great excuse to not lift a finger.
 
So incredibly touched by the kindness of someone I don't really even know! They have no idea how much they have made my day! This is really such a wonderful blessing. Thank you again!
 
Well see now there's my punishment. I just went down and bought a bag of chips and a rice krispie treat and the C store was playing Christmas carols :surrender:
