Who are you? Care to share?

It has been nice reading about you guys.

Ann I hope you are feeling much better.?

My name is Janet and I followed a fellow CW member here :flowers:Luv2shop:flowers: And has my shopping world changed/benefitted greatly from CW.

I am 43 turning 44 on 3/27 DH and I have the same birthday/year (he is @ 9 hrs older) and will be married 21 years on the same date 3/27. We have a DS17. I own/operate my own cleaning business but only work PT now to be able to help out my mom also. We are outdoors people and love to camp/ATV and our favorite spot is St Joes State Park in MO. I like cooking but love to grill.

Thanks Janet - I'm actually feeling half way normal again. I even managed to go to Target yesterday. First shopping trip in 3 weeks! :huggy:

See, now maybe my house would be cleaner if you didn't start this thread Valerie! Coach is not gonna be happy about this one!

My name is Brooke, I am 32 years old. I have been married for 6 1/2 years and have a daughter who just turned 5 last week and my son is 2 1/2. I am 7 months pregnant with another little boy, due March 20. I manage a day training program for adults with Developmental Disabilities. I've been working here for ten years and love it. The Participants here are like family to me.

I joined CW awhile back after running into equallyoked and hearing her tell me about it. I used to be a huge huge couponer, getting 20+ papers each week with a HUGE stockpile. I've gradually sold/used/donated most of my stockpile and now there isn't much left. The deals have pretty much sucked lately so I don't enjoy it like I used to. I hope to get back into it, but we shall see.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to knit and crochet, I made the cutest ever little hats with flowers on them and matching scarves for my daughter and nieces. I am looking forward to not being pregnant anymore so I can have an ice cold Miller Lite. That sounds good right now actually!! Lol. Other than that, I stay active with my kids, love being outside in the summer. I spend too much time on CW now, way more in OT than in the deals forums because it's a lot more fun! I've made some great friends on here, even if we haven't actually met, I feel like I know a lot of you!!

I am Kathy. Mom to five wonderful children--ages 27, 24, 22, 16 and 7. Have been married for 28 years--first and only man I have ever date--it was love at first sight--and I love him more and more each day!
My dh works at CDH--he has been there for almost 34 years (that is where we met-while in high school in the dietary department)
I went on reserve at CDH when I had my second child--then worked less and less with each one-until the fourth was born-and I didn't work at all (I only worked on an as needed basis-at most once a month!)
Since he only works in the kitchen-money has always been tight-so I have always tried to be thrifty---one time while shopping at Target--I saw someone with a coupon that my kids would LOVE--I asked her where she got it--and she introduced me to another bargain hunting group----I then fell in love with couponing--and through that found CW
In the meantime of all that--at the wonderful age of 45 I was blessed with another child--and still wanted to be a SAHM--
I found a crossing guard job--which helps with bills and allows me to still volunteer at the school and coupon etc!
I love the Lord with all my heart mind and soul--and love to go to bible studies etc.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE people--and will talk your ear off if given the chance (the few I have referred to this board will testify to that)
I never take offense though when someone says--I have to go--I don't have time to talk etc---
I love to help people--if I am able--I love to jump in and see what I can do for people--
People always joke a great job for me would be customer service because I love to smile at you--and then say Have a great day---so it is hard to be mad--even when I have people yelling at me at crossing guard (and yes, parents can be so mean) I try and smile and say--Well I hope you have a better day or something like that
I am known for going up to complete strangers and talking to them--it is a huge joke in my family that there is no such thing as a quick store run for me--because I will find someone to talk to or share too (yes, I am that annoying person next to you in line--but I just want to smile and say HI)
When I ask how are you doing--I really want to know how are y ou doing--and if I say I will pray for you--i will own that prayer and pray for you!!
I too don't like to hide behind personalities--though my screen name here-is my daughters--years ago when I couldn't sign on--I had her create an account and I just used it--then I had so many uses--she never went on--I just took over her account---so that is her screen name for her aol--her college etc---mine is totally different--and those that are facebook friends with me--have seen that--!
If anyone wants to facebook friend me--pm me and I will give you my full name (a few on this board I have found and it is fun to see what you are all up too!!!)
I love this board, I love being a SAHM--and I thank you for reading this post--that I could keep adding and adding on too (I love that my kids are all different ages--because I can relate to so many of everyones post---my one daughter is dyslexic so I learned a lot about what to do and how to help---my one son everyone tells me is gifted--so I have learned a lot about things like that--my one son loves sports--and again--lots on that--the other hates desk jobs and is very mechanical--again--learned a lot--and the other teenager--is just not your typical teenage girl--loves the in stuff but won't let it consume her--she is her own person and very happy with herself Her response to people is If you can't like me for who God created me to be--then why would I want to be your friend!) All five--so different--and so much fun--
Thanks again
Kathy

My name is Anna and I am a forty something sahm to 2 girls, 12 and 14. I have been married to dh for 17 yrs, together for 20. We met at work (he was my boss lol)! I have an MBA and had a really good job when I had dd but she was 6 weeks early and after seeing her in the hospital like that I didn't want to leave her and go back to work so I have been home since. I have MS (for 20 years now) but I manage to get around albeit a lot slower. I never want to go back to the corporate world so don't know what my future holds. I also like to cook, was a big AMC fan so now I don't even turn the tv on anymore. I enjoy taking care of my famiky and dh. I love Florida so when the kids are done with school that's where we're relocating. I have three dogs they are like kids to me. Oh, I also don't think I'm a big couponer but do use coupons like someone mentioned. That's me!! I need a new hobby, I was thinking of trying yoga for MS patients.

You too

I find that I rarely watch OLTL or GH since AMC is not there to start it off. My DVR is full of about 30 episodes of both of them. The TV really doesn't even come on some days unless it is nick jr. until DH comes home. I have been watching AMC since I was 3 years old. Taped it on beta when I will in elementary school, VHS through high school, DVD through college and DVRed it until I became a SAHM!

I'm Michelle....33 year old wife, mom, work from home. So in the mornings when you see me here, shh..I'm at work.

Married for 8+ years. Have DS16, DSD16 who does not live with us, as well as DD7, DS6 and DD2.

I work as a business information editor from home, the company is in Evanston - I worked in the office for a year before telecommuting. Love it, good career move for me - I used to be a newspaper reporter in Virginia - hence my screenname. That job is NOT family friendly.

DH is a pastor and we're planting a church here in the Des Plaines/Niles/Park Ridge/etc. area. It is a tough job. He works from home for that and also does freelance graphic design.

I grew up in Waukegan and its been funny finding out real-life connections I have/had with CW people....Barb09's mom worked with my dad, her kids were in my mom's kindergarten class, and her sisters babysat me a few times. Tipid_mom goes to my parents' church.

Also have loved meeting up with the kind and generous CW members....too many to mention. Even just last night saw Mimis....

I'm not a particularly organized person, which is very evident around my house. Besides working, managing these kiddos and house, and doing what I can to help DH with church planting stuff....I'm becoming a halfway decent runner and love my Zumba classes.

I have TIME to exercise so much because the deals are so crummy. I remember when I used to run from the Y to 2 different Jewels and sometimes a Doms to try to get all of my shopping in. Now I just stay longer at the Y or come home, there are no deals anymore...

I never understood the "internet persona" thing.

I am exactly who I am....online/offline. I know no other way to be.
I thuink though that someone who may normally be shy may not feel so when online. They may be more vocal and not be afraid to say something they may otherwise not say in person. Just a thought.

I'll play! I'm Maria and I just turned 40 in Dec. DH and I have been married 8 1/2 years. We met at a young adults Church group, dated for 3 months and got engagaed. We married the following year. I am Chinamom because I am a mommy to a fabulous little girl born in China. She is super scary smart and is probably going to kill me. She'll be 4 in a couple weeks. She is currently an only child, but that will probably change as soon as I get moving on the paperwork! I worked in Early Childhood for 5 years and Kindergarten for 1 year before DD came home. I loved it! I am from Woodstock, originally and we moved here because I wanted to stay as close to living on a farm as I could! DH works in Naperville and that is sooooo far from farmland, so we drew a circle on the map, and Hinckley fell w/in it! Nice, small town......but I still want to live on a farm, again!

you must be young lol! When I was in college I used to schedule my classes around it, run to the Student Union (NIU), grab a cheesburger from the grill and watch it in the lounge. I missed a lot though when I started working. I would record it but stopped after awhile. When I had dd and starting staying home I started watching again. Miss it!
