ECW! ECW! ECW...?

There's not too much about TNA to take very seriously. I actually watched it thursday night which was maybe the 5th time I've ever sat thru the tv show. (I used to go see it live when it was in Nashville.) I honestly think the shows worse now than it was during it's first year and its rediculous that in 4 years they've not figured out what they're doing wrong. I wish that they were just a little bit better so that McMahon would buy the company and put them out of buisness, but as it is, they're not even good enough to piss him off.

I did enjoy the Steiner/Samoa Joe confrontation, but pretty much everything else on the show sucked. It doesn't take much more then seeing Kevin Nash AND Sting both in the same hour of television to put me to sleep.

I really like some of the performers in TNA but not so much the promotion. I think they should be pushing guys that they can really calim as "their guys" and really push the fact that those guys aren't like anyone else and can't be seen anywhere else.

Why that entire company does not revolve around Samoa Joe, Aj Styles and Christopher Daniels at this point is a complete mystery. And it will be why they stay minor league or fail out right I think.

I'm surprised that I don't watch TNA much since Raven and Shane Douglas are on it and they're pretty much my 2 favorite wrestlers (other than flair) Just too much about it bothers me for me to get into it. Mainly that I have always hated Jarrett, from long before he was even in WWF and I can't tolerate watching a show that is built around him. No matter what he ever should accomplish in his career, to me he'll always be one of those "dumb little fairgrounds" wrestlers that worked for Bert Prentice. Same goes for AMW, and several others that are still working TNA. I remember seeing Jarrett wrestle free shows in an old paint warehouse, not too very long before he was in WWF and it's hard for me to look at him and see an NWA World Champion. Plus he was always a real prick to everyone when he was on the indy scene in Tenn and Ala. Bah... I just hate him period!

Christian is possibly the least believable NWA champ I can ever remember tho.

ECW's Trinity had knee surgery this past week due to a missed moonsault onto the floor at last Saturday's ECW Arena house show. She'll be out six to eight weeks.

Of course that is not nearly the news that RVD/Sabu ****-up is to ECW at this point.

Heyman to address ECW World Heavyweight Championship
July 4, 2006

Last night on RAW, Edge captured the WWE Championship by defeating Rob Van Dam in a Triple Threat Match. As a result of last night's show, the state of tonight's edition of ECW on Sci Fi is up in the air.

ECW.com has learned that ECW representative Paul Heyman will open the show by addressing the status of the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, which as of this moment is still held by Rob Van Dam.

Also, ECW.com can confirm that vivacious exhibitionist Kelly is promising to provide a special salute to America on this 4th of July.

The real word or rumor on the "state of ECW" is that Vince has already taken over control of the product from Heyman.

I was dreaming today that I was trying to get new ECW news and all I could find out was that they had "fired Van Dam and Killed Sabu." All of the sites were being very secretive about the details. :shifty: I slept till 5:30 it's been an enjoyable holiday.

That sound you hear is thousands of ECW oldschoolers beating their heads against the wall as they weep uncontrolably.

THE BIG SHOW!!!!!!

Around 6 weeks ago when the new ECW talk was just getting started I said "Within 6 weeks they'll have Val Venis as ECW Champion."

Ok.. I was off by 2 weeks.... and I chose the wrong 3rd rate WWE "Superstar" but I still feel like I done a fairly decent job of predicting this ****.

Heyman's impending turn was so obvious, even Stevie Wonder could've seen it coming. I knew as soon as Paul E. told RVD that he was right and Heyman himself was wrong.... I said.... "HE"S GONNA TURN ON RVD TONIGHT!" o_O

I'd bet money that Heyman originally wrote the Sandman segment with it actually being a priest, and the wwe "creative" team tweaked it to add that he wasn't "really" a priest. It being July 4th, I was kinda expecting Sandman to cane osama Ben Laden or someone like that.

I actually liked the RVD-Big Show match. I think Van Dam put on a good performance of someone overcoming the size difference between the two of them. Few wrestlers can do it as convincingly as he did.

CM Punk.... I wanna do your girlfriend!

Test? Wasn't he badmouthing WWE only 2 months ago or so and talking about how bad the working conditions were and how happy he was tobe out of there? Oh yeah.... this is ECW, I forgot!

Kelly's more enjoyable when I'm drunk and I'm sober tonight, so I'm once again wishing they'd get rid of her...... and Mike Knox. WWECW is starting to resemble WCW just a little too ****ing much for me!

This was a pretty poor show, especially considering it was coming from the (now unrecognizable) ECW Arena!

One last thought......

SABU! SABU! SABU!

Hot garbage. WWECW is just...hot...garbage.

I'm not gonna bother yammering on about this show.

CM Punk good.

Everything else bad.

Bless you, Philly, for doing what everyone watching at home wanted to do at the conclusion of this show.

SABU! SABU! SABU!

Actually, it was the Wachovia Center. They decided to waste the return to the ECW Arena on a house show and air the TV show from a big, new arena. Dopes.

And one last thing...

SABU'S NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK, IDIOTS!!!1111111111

Dammit.

G'night, Jaimekins.

Duh! I was wondering how they made it look so ****ing big inside! I completely missed that the show had been moved.

Something else I missed on the first viewing (I just rewatched it...yes I'm a glutton for punishment) That "priest" was one of "the Baldies" from when ECW was in it's dying days on TNN.

Haha.... you must sleep about as much as I do!

Night Geoff!

Honestly though, you know it had to be the plan for the Big Slow to be ECW champ sooner or later, RVD being a **** just sped up the process. And now they've backed themselves into the corner of now having to build up someone to be good enough to bring him down to size. And if Angle is still going to get his promised vacation who's that going to be?

I dunno.... but if "ECW" evolves into a weekly series of matches between Big Slow and Test, I absolutely will stop watching. In 2 months SVU will be having new episodes in the same time period anyways.

So..... RVD has been suspended for 30 days without pay, Sabu's fined 1000 dollars.

No more ECW refs, they'll be using the WWE guys..... and no more "extreme rules" matches.

So long, "ECW"....it was good to know ya! it was a nice thought..... but one that didn't last very long.

You I think lost in all this is that the Big Slow is now the first man to have held the WCW, WWE and ECW world titles.

That is quite the feather in his over sized cap.
