I have a love/hate thing about naptime at work. I love it because most of the kids sleep and I can clean/prepare my classroom.
I hate it because I want a cot, blanket, soft music playing and someone to rub my back until I fall asleep.
No work this weekend so car shopping Saturday and hoping to stay in p.j. all day Sunday

Do you read your town's Patch news?
Wish I hadn't this morning, making me feel very broke. Already feeling the crush of next week's quarterly RE tax bill & the expense of buying my folks a new snow blower :surrender:
No wonder RE taxes here keep going up, why they hardly ever turn down an RE tax override, why plow services here are so expensive, why everything here, from plumbers to small roof repair is so flipping expensive... seems I'm living in a town that has become way beyond my means. Patch just informed me that there are oodles of millionaires in my li'l town, one for every 294 residents. Their average income is $2.26 million per year. :faint:
I remember when this was a rural town with a pig farm, some horsey folks & the high school seniors' parking lot was filled with their moms' cast off old crap cars, not new BMWs. :surrender:

Could be worse, Ennui. They could close up a ton of public housing near you & send the majority of the people who were living there to your town. That will make the millionaires leave & crime start to increase, while your RE taxes continue to go up as the value of your home goes down. That's what happened/is happening here. Our HS parking lot used to look like a luxury car dealership, with the kids driving cars way nicer than the teachers cars. Now you can't tell which is a student car & which is a teacher car.
