So he calls me to tell me we are even and to apologize for being an ****. (His words) When he was cleaning up the ketchup, he didn't put away the bag of m&ms he had at his desk. D took them and hid under the dining room table. She was covered in chocolate when he found her.

Electronic cigarette - Emits water vapor instead of smoke. Can be used anywhere. Most smokers are not just addicted to the nicotine, but the sensation of smoking. This helps quell the latter while you work on the former.

More info if you wanna read about it, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_cigarette

I was going to get one of those electric ones that everyone seems to have now, until I read this last night!

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-57379648-71/electronic-cigarette-blows-up-in-mans-mouth/

A Florida man is taken to hospital after an electronic cigarette explodes while he is smoking it. He loses his front teeth and has burns. Fire officials say the battery seems to have been the culprit.

From the age of dot, we're all told not to put gadgets in our mouths.

But along came electric toothbrushes--and then electronic cigarettes. Some will wonder how safe they might be after a 57-year-old Florida man was taken to hospital Monday night when his electronic smoke exploded while he was smoking it.

He ended up in an Alabama hospital, facing burns, the loss of part of his tongue and his front teeth.

Joseph Parker, division chief for the North Bay Fire Department, offered a graphic analogy to the Associated Press: "It was trying to hold a bottle rocket in your mouth when it went off. The battery flew out of the tube and set the closet on fire."

I feel sure that the "Jackass" people must have tried something along these lines, but how horrific that it should happen to someone who, by all accounts, was merely desperate to give up smoking.

The physical damage from the explosion--it apparently happened in the man's home office--comprised burned carpets and even smoldering pictures. The brand of cigarette hasn't been disclosed.

That it sucks that one man, Chris Christie, is imposing his own religious views and vetoing the legal right of ALL consenting adults to marry in civil ceremonies in the Garden State. Shame on that fat ****.

Teenagers....BLEH!!!!!!!!

DS16 got mostly D's last semester so I made up a contract for him regarding grades, behavior and privileges.

It included requiring all homework to be turned in and grades of over C on all tests to have access to weekend internet on ipod and weekend xbox. If he got lower grades, he had to go in to the teacher or tutoring center for extra help.

He got a D on two quizzes and an F on a test last week, and so he missed them last weekend. He went in for extra help in the classes with the D's but not the one with the F. I reminded him a couple of times this week, but he did not do it.

He IS getting one A and 2 high B's, which is an improvement overall. And, he has turned in all his homework up to this point.

This morning, he asks me can I get his xbox controller out, since I will be gone when he gets home from Basketball.

I say "no" and so we get into an enormous fight (mostly him being frustrated, shouting, pounding desk... I didnt say much) about what is he supposed to do at the "extra help" since they go over the test in class and he understands what he did wrong and they have another test today so there wont be any homework and what's he supposed to do, its such a waste of time, "you havent made it clear what you want me to do" even though I said go over old homework, go over tests, do new homework, do ANOTHER class homework just GO because I TOLD YOU TO!!!!!!!

This is the same one who wants me to sign him up for driver's Ed this spring. I had spent more than an hour earlier in the week talking with DH about what our requirements would be for him to sign up, but I had not yet talked with him about it.

This really convinces me that you're safe in my car.

My sentiments exactly....

I was just talking to a friend of mine yesterday about a situation with DD15 that happened last night. We got into a heated argument about her lack of listening skills. She got angry at one point and told me to stop yelling at her. I must have given her the death look because she ran away(literally) the second I started walking towards her. We talked it out later. She's all well I get frustrated. I'm all... Really? I have no idea what that feels like.

She thinks I'm too hard on her. I'm like listen kid. It's not my job to make things easy for you. The real world ain't pretty and if I make it too comfortable around here for you next thing I know I've got a 30 yr. old still living in my basement avoiding life. Not going to happen!!!

You're doing a good job reporter. Hold the line. He'll understand later why you are being such a mean mommy.

I'm so ****ing bored. I get cabin fever so easily but we can't go anywhere because of the cooties.:pout:
ETA: Also the lack of sun here is killing me. I need sun! Cloudy days make me so unmotivated.
