What's new

so what are you thinking right now?

Sorry, Canadia. :huggy: I think you're doing a great job- it cannot be easy being a single mom & you never complain. Just make sure the moms have your email address & ask them (again) to send you some pictures. Do you know any of them well enough to call them today before the party to ask if they will take some pictures of the boys for you?

Medical question for you guys:

DD14 got hit in the jaw with a softball last night, it hit her jaw/bottom of her jaw, not her neck. (At least that's what the stitch marks the ball left indicates.) It was a thrown ball, so it hit her pretty hard. Last night/ today she is complaining of a bad headache. Could she have a concussion? I think she's probably clenching her teeth because it hurts to open her mouth, and that is what is causing the headache. But it's been about 20 hours & she's taken ibuprofen regularly since it happened.

We seem to live at the drs office with this sport. She has had so many xrays, it makes me nervous to keep having everything checked like we do.

Wow, am I having a hard time motivating today! Two days of baking & it looks like a tornado went through here. DD14 is on my last nerve leaving her stuff all throughout the house. I feel bad harping on her because she is so busy with softball & school, but COME ON, pick up your stuff! I've taken over doing her laundry for her because she really doesn't have time, but I think she is mistaking that for me being her house keeper. Her bathroom is disgusting. I just spent 20 minutes scrubbing her tub. Don't even get me started on her bedroom. She had better get it cleaned tonight or I'm going in with a garbage bag tomorrow. One of her teammates is sleeping over tomorrow night because we're leaving early Friday morning for a tournament. The girl is going to think we live in squalor if DD's room stays the way it is. :gah:
do we have the same daughter? lol

I'd call the dr but my guess is they'll say to bring her in.

...I am NOT ready for snow! :surrender: It's not snowing farther south & west in MI, just asked DD18. She's not ready either. :p
Please, please, please don't let it snow here until we have moved. Just hold off for less than 2 weeks. please?
...I put his clean clothes on his chair for him to put away (yeah right) then he knocks the clean ones onto the floor while digging through the pile looking for the clothes he wants to wear.
My husband still does this.

I know what you mean... I have nothing to add except if you do go for x-rays, make sure to ask for the thyroid lead apron (for dental ones too) when possible. I hope she's ok :huggy:

I got a nice surprise today -- a couple pink Chicago Bears onesies. The puzzle is I have no idea who sent them. There was no note or gift message in the box (shipped directly from Amazon so Amazon is the return address). My hunch is it's from my brother and his wife, but we know a lot of Bears fans who know we're having a girl and who know our current address, so it could be from any of dozens of people. I want to properly thank whomever sent them. But asking people if they sent us a gift seems tacky, so :???: WWYD?

Thanks! I talked to my mom who said they are from my brother and his wife. Mystery solved.

Enjoy your afternoon icoupon2! the weather is so nice today :cartwheel:

Well my DD seems to have had a miraculous recovery. Her head is "feeling better" and she would like to go out with her friends. :dunce: Glad I worried all day. She is talking more- better jaw movement. (IDK if her talking more is a good thing, we'll see if she's nice to me. :p) Thank you for the advice. If she wakes up with even a small headache tomorrow I will take her in to the Dr. tomorrow.

I am thinking about getting 2 more dogs. I know some will think it is a good idea, some won't. I guess we just have decide if we should get 1 or both of them.

Do you already have them picked out? If not, can I interest you in a basset hound & a miniature pincher? I am at the end of my rope.

Yes, we do have them picked out. Both of them are special because of their age and whatnot. They are both black and for many people, that is strike number 1.

People don't like black dogs? :dunce: That's so weird. Who cares? Both of ours are black, well black & tan, so if those fall through..... :snicker:

I prefer black, it matches our house. How's that for a little OCD? :snort:
