What's new

so what are you thinking right now?

its 10:21 and I havent gotten anything done

I was going to have a lazy day too but decided I needed to actually do some stuff today. DH has been out of town since Sunday and if he came home today, it would look like I hadn't done anything so I need to tackle laundry and cleaning today.

I woke up, got both kids fed and off to school, showered, did 2 loads of laundry (still have to fold but I'll fold those and more tonight while I watch tv and no, I won't be watching any scary shows tonight LOL), went over to Food 4 Less to get stocked up on some stuff for holiday meals, and just picked up 5 yo from school at 11:10.

Now I need to spray paint and glitter pine cones (for 7 yo's Boy Scout troop project tomorrow night), do more laundry, clean out the refrigerators and kitchen. I might organize my pantries too if I'm feeling really motivated. Oh, and I have to take the kids to the library to return stuff and check out new reading material and games for the week.

200+ cookies to get done before Saturday morning.... I BETTER get my butt moving :didi:

I'm thinking dr's should quit messing w/peeps. Called yesterday for test results and then had to go to work for the rest of the day...DH said they NEVER called back, called today and mysteriously enough they are not in the office. She said it's their normal day off? Really? She says will make sure the dr. calls by the end of the day tomorrow...not funny when you are sweating serious test results. Oh well. Gotta try to quit worrying cuz it won't change the results either way.

Going to add ribbon to my Christmas Tree decorations...... do I do a swirl around the tree or ribbon strands from top to bottom????

Tradition is.....Swirl around. but 'poof the ribbon', and tuck the ribbon in 'here and there'.

Shut up y'all!!:snort:

I did window decorations on State Street in Chi-Town.
Top to bottom is a faze that 'comes and goes'...like an up-side down tree...do it if you want to, every other year or so.

All in all.....decorate your tree, however it makes you smile/happy.!

please don't let mistah come home until I've had some quality alone time with my secret bag of potato chips :quiet:

DH just came home from the grocery store so proud of himself. He comes right over and says, check this out. This is the heaviest head of lettuce I have ever felt. Imagine how many salads we can get out of it. I said, honey, that's cabbage.

Tell him he can make cole slaw - still a salad. :giggles:

I'm surprised you let him out of the house.

Why are people so inconsiderate sometimes? My BIL and his girlfriend are flying in from New York next week. They are flying into Milwaukee in order to save a few bucks on airfare but want DH to drive up to the airport there to pick them up. Their flight gets in at 8:00 a.m. If DH can't pick them up, they want my 70 year old MIL to drive up there to pick them up. I haven't been out that way in a long time but I'm guessing it would be at least a 2.5 hour (probably 3 hour) round trip drive not to mention the cost of gas! They refuse to arrange for any other type of transportation.

I'm sorry but how is it okay to inconvenience other people BIG TIME in order for you to save a couple of bucks??? Typical of my BIL, he is basically an overgrown 45 year old child who thinks only of himself. And now he has caused a major argument between DH and me over this!

They will often stay with us for a day or two and he is a vegetarian and she eats a gluten free diet which makes things difficult too but it is this other thing that is really pissing me off.

Arrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!
