What EASY goodies are you making this holiday?

HELP!! My chocolate is not melting..... do chocolate chips get old... I've done this a million times... i don't know whats wrong! :pout:

Got 'em on a double boiler? Did you add a little oil? Mine melted, but weren't thin enough. I ended up making simple icing with powdered sugar.

I think chocolate bark would work better than chips, sorry. I'm going to use the melted choc chips on pretzels.
 
No.. in a metal pan as I discribed last time.... yes oil.. they have been in there FOREVER and not melting :pout: I am talking over half an hour! WTF!!
 
Yes, chips get old.

You guys are making me want to make all these goodies!!! Are you guys making all this stuff to eat now, or to give away for xmas?? I am asking because I wanted to make some to give away, but I am not sure how long this stuff will stay good for.....
 
I think you can make the balls now and freeze then thaw THEN dip and give away. I was going to freeze them, but **** my family flipped for them. DH just came back from the neighbor's to get some and take them back for them to try. Oh and he wants me to make more for him to take to work. :lol:

I like the idea of freezing the balls ahead! Will probably do that tomorrow!
 
I am about to FREAK out! This ****ing chocolate is PISSING ME OFF!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
