How is it you are still alive again?

Most grew to like me, but not all :(

Remember I was talking back in HS, we are talking 15-17 years old. I don't think any dad was dumb enough to lay his hands on a minor :p

You obviously have not spent much time in the south.

LOL

The truth is that I don't see myself being one of those "bring a shotgun into the living room" types of dads. I like to believe, naively or not, that I've instilled good values in my daughter and that she'll make good decisions when faced with choices.

So far so good, but this upcoming school year will be VERY interesting.

I think with most dads they are much less worried about the daughter they let out of the house than all the guys they might let in. After all they are guys themselves. :p

So is she going to be allowed to date now Mark or are you just expecting that being around the corner?

i instilled good morals in my daughter too. i did do the "crazy dad" act a few times when dates would come to pick them up...but that's hard to maintain.

oh yeah, my 18 year old daughter is due in December... :shifty:

they don't really go on "dates" nowadays. Its more like a bunch of people all "hang out."

But if some boy wanted to go to the movies with her -- I'd be okay with that. In fact, I'd probably think its cute (until I started thinking about myself at that age :p )

I had girlfriends in middle and highschool but don't think I went out on a "date" until I was in college. Everything was parties or hanging out or school dances. Too bad it's not still that way.

You hangout at school together, walk her to her classes, make out at lunch that kind of stuff. Doing anything after school was a no-go for me because I played sports, so you hung out at school, then maybe as a big group of friends Saturday.
