So what are you thinking now? New thread!

So my bff has two *very* rambunctious dogs. They have been through numerous training programs & they listen most of the time, but they are *very* rambunctious. 10 days ago, they got into a spat in her very small hallway. She grabbed one of them, as the other was lunging at it and inadvertently was bitten on the ****. As one bit her ****, the one she grabbed whipped it's head back into her shoulder/collar bone before she could toss her in the bathroom to separate them. (They've gotten into tiffs before, but not like this!) So, in addition to NASTY puncture wounds in her butt cheek, she has a strained rotator cuff. Her car wouldn't start today, so I had to drop her off at the dr. The dr she saw the other day thought it was a broken collar bone. I think the broken bone would be easier to fix.

So, lesson of the day, if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. Or at least let them fight their own battles. She's lucky she wasn't more injured.

All of this talk about Pixies & I keep thinking Pixie Sticks, with the sugar. :duh:

My name is Joy and I am a recovering Pixie Stick Aholic.

I used to eat a whole bag of them in one sitting.

Great...now I want a Pixie Stick :slap:

LOL

KG, is your DH a football fan? I ask because my mom was a few days overdue with my younger brother. My dad's ONLY request was that she not have him on Super Bowl Sunday. :giggles: Guess when she had him? :snicker:

As soon as we knew the due date, we googled the date of the Super Bowl. We told my dad (Bears season ticket holder) he couldn't go to the Super Bowl this year if the Bears went. Fortunately(?) for my entire family, the Bears aren't involved this year.

I reallllllly think the baby's not coming this weekend though. She must've seen her shadow and thinks she should stay inside for 6 more weeks? Doc says all signs point to her being exceedingly comfortable where she is. And that whole nesting burst of energy I'm supposed to get right before labor starts? It has absolutely not happened . If this goes on too long, we may need to call the sheriff to evict her.

But I could be very wrong. Hell, she could be born tonight.

Well it is freezing outside & it is warm & cozy where she is. You can't blame her!

Perhaps your DH could try to smoke her out? :giggles:

Schedule yourself for a full spa pedicure early Sunday.

Monday would a lovely day to have your little lady.

um, if you're saying what I think you're saying, :sex: we've been trying that. Clearly not successful so far.

I just had an ultrsound and her biophysical profile looks great, so it won't hurt her to stay locked inside another week or so. She is in the 50 - 60 percentiles for most measurements. Her head circumference, though, is off the charts big . Go ahead,

Canadia, I'm not normally the type, but I just may go get myself a foot massage.

Those measurements were way off with my kids. I'm sure she will have a perfectly nice sized head for delivery. :giggles:

But seriously, I was told I was having 10-11 pounders. They were both 8.6. I think the drs just guess. In fact, one of the reasons I was induced on my due date with DD14 is because the doctor was afraid she was, and I quote, "an enormoussssss baby." When she came out he said, "Huh. I guess she isn't enormous." <raised eyebrow from me>

has your epidural already been administered?

GET IT AS SOON as possible....DO NOT WAIT!!!!

TRUST ME!!!!

Yeah, don't wait! I've never had one. When I finally decided I wanted one with DD14 it was too late. So if you want one, don't wait.

Stop watching A Baby Story. You should be thinking, "She is a small, dainty peanut who will slide out with grace & ease within the first 8 hours of labor" over & over & over. :giggles: Mind over matter!

All of this baby talk makes me want to organize something. :dunce:

Brrrrrrrrrr! 54 this morning. Jeans and sweatshirt day! :hides:
Your time is a comin :)

The birthdays that don't end are hard sometimes. In her case all I can think of though is when has anyone in her short little life taken that much time, effort and love just to celebrate her existence? Dragonfly, please take a moment to realize your awesomeness!
:shesaid: I agree so totally you are one awesome mom :)
