What's new

so what are you thinking right now?

There is only 1 daytime soap opera on NBC any longer... would it really be that inconvenient to cut in during the ??5 hours?? of the today show when that show is all about the news? Or supposed to be anyway. i realize most other channels carry it when the president is on... at this hour, its nbc in this house. hence my complaint!

Interview went very well! Interviewer said I will know by Friday, as he has other interviews, but is "very confident that I will fit in well and will do an excellent job."

EEK!

Glad picture day is over- HATE picture day

Lol my kids' picture day was last week. In the part where you can write instructions for the photographer, I wrote "no glasses and a nice, natural smile, not a cheesey grin". My DS12 told me he was so embarrassed when the photog. read that out loud. :hah:

I'm thinking my DS12's teacher is an idiot! It's 70 friggin' degrees out today and he made him wear his heavy winter coat OVER the hoodie he wore to school. DS said he kept telling him how hot he was and could he PLEASE take it off, but NOPE! :ranting:

Boy, if we could do that and they read the instructions out loud, DS would be super embarassed. In order to get a normal smile out of him and not what looks like a death grin, we tell him to think about poop. He giggles and we get a good smile but telling him to think of poop in front of classmates would probably upset him.

The coat thing...ugh.

It so hard with clothes and outside time. Some are dressed too warm, some too cold, we just can't win. I had a parent tell me it was too windy to go outside today. (as kid stood there in flip flops for picture day.)

Yeah but he's 12 1/2, not 2 and it's 70 out and he wore a hoodie to school, not a short sleeved shirt. Common sense should kick in there no?

Yes, but what is "common sense" to you might not be to someone else.

And that can be a huge problem!

We are arguing over parenting. :surrender:

Yeah we get into tiffs about that too. DH thinks I let them get away with too much and I think he blows up WAY too fast and easily and doesn't try to understand why they're being..........crabby, sassy, whatever kwim. Oh and when they act up, it's my fault. :fart:

Oh and my fav is him always telling DS9 to stop acting so silly. :surrender: Um he's a sweet, sensitive, happy, funny, silly boy. It hurts DS's feelings. :pout:

tired, been to work once already today and have to go back to work...in between I took back stuff that DD got for her birthday and TRIED to exchange it for the right size, etc. Plus apparently I have some kind of sinus cold yet again...blah!

Parenting is hard enough, and when the spouses don't agree on things... oh man it gets a lot harder. :huggy:

I'm irritated right now and considering getting an OP against my FIL. He has a history of mental illness, and he's always on again/off again his meds, and always drinking which doesn't help anything. In DH's words, he's also a "woman hater".

A VERY long story short - he made a "business proposition" to my DH, which was respectfully declined. He took offense and started a huge fight over the phone, so DH hung up. He came over unannounced and started the fight again here until the cops mysteriously showed up and asked him to leave. Now he's leaving threatening and degrading voicemails to DH about me, b/c he just KNOWS this is all my doing. And I'm a "manipulative ****ing ****". Cool. @@

I never liked that guy, and I always shudder when he's around. Now it's worse. I slept like **** last night b/c I had one eye open the whole time.

I'm sorry Red, I hope it gets better w/your FILAW! What does your DH say to him about the comments? Would it make FILAW worse? That is just wrong and I think you should put OP if necessary. Good luck!

DH is ignoring him. There's no reasoning with his dad. He's just leaving irate, screaming/laughing/hysterical voicemails in the middle of the night and while DH is at work (and can't talk).
The crazy thing was after yesterday's argument, DH was going to call him today to say, "I'm not changing my mind, but I don't want to fight and would appreciate if we could drop it and move forward." Before he had the chance, the craziness escalated and how DH is too mad to do this. The OP was his idea (well, he vocalized it first).
