I agree. Everybody(usually) waits hand and foot on the extremely pregnant. Lots of help! That way you have all the time in the world with your new bundle. I'm so jealous! My baby is 10. She still snuggles,but not for long.
It is gorgeous outside today! We may hit 70. When I went home at lunchtime I sat out in the backyard with the dogs for a while - it was just too nice to stay inside. I can't wait for Spring. :dance:
That's how it was here the last two days, but today is a lil chillier (but sunny so I'm good with that). :cartwheel:
Yesterday was nice but not quite as warm. We'll be back in the 40's this weekend but then back near 60 next week.
Canadia I agree, I'd rather do it very pregnant than while trying to heal and risk ripping stitches and stuff.
KG I'm sorry that really sucks. Why are in-laws so tricky? How's your husband reacting?

Try to do it before the baby. Good luck with the VBAC. I really wanted a vbac with Josh, but it didn't happen. At least the recovery from the second c-section was MUCH easier than the first.
I suppose. I did send a gift a couple days ago that may not arrive in CA until today or tomorrow. I still feel ****ty though.out: I'll have my kids skype her after school (she's 5).
If you already sent a gift, then you didn't forget. Don't feel bad about it. call her and move on.
thanks. I affects me more than it does him. he's upset about something totally unrelated... and there's nothing I can do about it. :surrender: Seeing him upset makes me sad too. He's such a mellow easygoing person and few things really get to him.

I'm worried about a 2nd c-section. I already had another friend tell me the second was way worse than the first and now clars. My first one was just awful and I have no desire to repeat that. At least I only had to care for a newborn, this time it will be a newborn and Lex. Not going to be good if it is like last time.
I'm leaning towards having the party early and scaling way back. Pay the $$ to have it somewhere else with food included and I don't have to worry about the pre and post-party house cleanup or all the cooking. Also it limits the length of the event (and thus my exhaustion), whereas when it is at my house it is more of an open house event.
Folks sure will be disappointed though - I'm the only one of the mom's that does a full buffet of home cooked food. Or maybe I'll be the only one disappointed since I won't get so many compliments on the meal or the cool home made cake(s).
Can you tell I just feel like I'm letting Lex down? And letting my friends/their kids down? I've been setting the bar higher and higher with each of Lex's birthdays. Kinda sucks to take a step backwards.

Mine was worse in my opinion because my first c-section seemed like no big deal. Dorothy put me through the wringer in the pregnancy and the hormone fall out after. I had to start taking estrogen just to get over the paranoia and insomnia. Plus I had a reaction to the anesthesia that I didn't anticipate. Yours might be better in your opinion because the first was bad. If you need any help right after, I am right down the street. Lex can come and burn off some energy at my house.
Everyone will understand that this year you just need to simplify. Your friends will understand. Plus Lex will love whatever you do. Just cut yourself some slack and let it go. You will be back and better than ever next year!
