9600xt is $200 ret plus free HL2, or a 9700 np or 9800 np if you can find one around that price they are hard to find though.

I don't like consoles at all. if i wanted to buy the 3 main ones. it's be at least $500 plus controlers and games. i'd rather put that $500 into my computer fund.

I thought ATI is still the underdog? Not to mention nvidia's editor's day. They said their loss of market saher was "due to intel extreme graphics" and failed to even recognize ATI. then Called them cheaters. I can't stand mud slinging. It's one thing to cheat and get caught it's anthor...

American fast food is teh pits. Even subway is pretty bad. Not to mention any of the resterants with that arn't super expensive have crappy food.

I hope intel does not release a nother wilmate type core. Also i doubt M$ would make anthor 64-bit for Intel. If i;m not mistaken Intel will be adopting the x86-64 AMD came up with. In exchange Intel is giving AMD their SSE2 stuff. (maybe even SSE3? i doubt it but maybe) EDIT: lol right...

WD's are not quiet. They are some of the loudest harddrives around. Seagate Barracuda's are quiet. Maxtor's are quiet in idle and slightly noisy during use but i hear the new fluid bearings are much quieter then what my maxtor currently has.

well it's been setting in for a while now and since amb. temps have dropped i cannot compare much to ASC . although i do recall it being slightly lower then what it was at this ambient temp. The price difference is not really worth it especailly since ASC has to settle in. I do NOT reccomend AS5.
